Terms of use

Last updated: 1 October 2026

Purpose

These terms govern the use of the Trackoria service (website and mobile app), which lets you track cultural works (movies, series, anime, manga, games and books), record your progress and share reviews or lists.

The service is published by Trackoria Software Studio, a French simplified joint-stock company (SAS) whose full details appear in the legal notice. Creating an account or using the service constitutes acceptance of these terms.

Account

The service requires an account, created with a valid email address or through a third-party identity provider (Google, Discord or Apple). The service is reserved for people aged 15 or over, the threshold French law sets for consenting alone to the processing of one's personal data; you declare it when creating your account.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential. Two-factor authentication is mandatory; keep your backup codes somewhere safe.

Your content

You remain the owner of the content you publish (reviews, public lists, profile elements). You grant Trackoria a non-exclusive license to host and display it, strictly as needed to operate the service.

Mark plot reveals with the dedicated tool (flagged passages stay hidden from other readers); publishing unflagged spoilers may lead to review moderation.

Prohibited uses

The following are prohibited, among others: publishing illegal, hateful or sexually explicit content or content infringing third-party rights; harassing or intimidating other members; impersonation; disrupting the service (bulk data extraction, bypassing security measures, deliberate overload); using the service for unauthorized commercial purposes.

Reporting and moderation

Reviews, profiles and public lists can be reported from the app, and any member can block another: you then no longer see their profile, reviews or activity, and they no longer see yours. Any content you consider illegal can also be reported to [email protected], stating where it is and why you consider it illegal.

Trackoria has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior toward other members. Every report is reviewed by the team within 24 hours.

Trackoria may remove content that breaches these terms and, in the event of serious or repeated violations, suspend or delete the account involved. The author of a removed review or of a suspended account is informed of the decision and its reason, in the app or by email, and may contest it by writing to [email protected].

Works data

Works information and artwork come from third-party services (TMDB, MyAnimeList, IGDB, Open Library, Bibliothèque nationale de France, Wikidata, Inventaire) and belong to their rights holders. Trackoria does not guarantee their completeness or accuracy and may correct or remove them at rights holders' request.

Availability and changes to the service

Trackoria is provided "as is". The service evolves regularly: features may be added, changed or removed. Temporary interruptions may occur for maintenance or causes beyond our control.

Access to the service includes a free plan and an optional subscription, Trackoria+, described in the next section and on the Pricing page; any change to the plans will be announced clearly and will not retroactively affect your data.

Trackoria+ subscription

Trackoria+ unlocks additional features presented on the Pricing page, for €2.99 per month or €29.99 per year, taxes included; the price that applies is the one shown in the app and on the billing platform when you subscribe.

The subscription is purchased and billed through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play, depending on your device, under those platforms' terms. It renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends, from your Apple or Google account's subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, which remains due.

By subscribing, you request immediate access to the features and acknowledge that you are waiving your fourteen-day right of withdrawal, in accordance with article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code. Refund requests are handled by the billing platform under its own rules.

Any price change will be announced before it takes effect and will only apply at your next renewal. Deleting your account does not cancel the subscription: cancel it from the billing platform to stop the charges.

App downloaded from the App Store

If you downloaded the app from the App Store, its use is also governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. These terms are between you and Trackoria Software Studio, not Apple, and Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may then refund its purchase price. More broadly, refunds for a purchase made on the App Store are handled by Apple, under its own terms.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the app (deletion becomes permanent after the 30-day grace period). Trackoria may terminate an account that breaches these terms, with prior notice except in urgent cases.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Trackoria cannot be held liable for indirect damages related to the use of the service, nor for content published by users or provided by third-party services.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought before any legal action; failing that, the competent French courts will be seized under the ordinary rules of jurisdiction. A consumer may always bring proceedings before the court of their place of residence.

In accordance with the provisions of the French Consumer Code on the mediation of consumer disputes, if you have contacted us in writing at [email protected] and did not receive a satisfactory answer, you may refer the dispute free of charge to a consumer mediation procedure with CM2C, Centre de la Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de Justice, 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris, France, phone +33 1 89 47 00 14, email [email protected], online filing: www.cm2c.net/declarer-un-litige.php. The request must be filed within one year of your written complaint.

Any substantial change to these terms will be announced before it takes effect.
